Family Beach Pics

Beach Day 4!

Anderson got brave and fed the seagulls popcorn all by himself!

Alligator Alley

We took the babies to see the gator farm in Summerdale this morning. It was hot and sticky, but we got to see some big ol' alligators. We arrived in time to see the feeding, which was the owner tossing a bunch of whole chickens out to the hungry guys. Don't worry grandparents...we kept our little ones far away!

These are little baby gators.

Its little mouth got taped shut for safety. Anderson liked it!

Harper was intrigued...

Beach Day 3

We have been having a great time! We've been up early (of course) and getting the kiddos down to the beach before it gets too hot. Anderson runs around and chases seagulls and plays in his baby pool while Harper naps the day away! I was able to snap these pics before the sleeping beauty drifted off to slumber-land!

Poor thing trying to keep her eyes open in the sun.

Thank You for Sleeping

She now takes her morning nap on the beach. Who wouldn't want to do that?!

After a full day & Lulu's

Who's ready for Lulu's? Harper needed a nap before dinner...

Beach Fun!

Harper's first dip in the Gulf...she loved it!

Clever girl caught the camera strap! I think she's starting to get used to the camera in her face!

Oh no floppy hat, don't blow away!

Morning on the Beach

Aaahhh, the waves make perfect noise for napping!

Beach Boy!

Of course the Baby Einstein mat made it to the beach!

Beach Babies

We are on our first trip to the beach with Harper! Natalie and Anderson are here with us as well. The drive down was actually MUCH better than expected. Though in separate vehicles, our little angels slept and played like champs. It didn't hurt that we left Tuscaloosa at 11am, missing most of the rush traffic.

Once we arrived at the condo (hallelujah!), we quickly set to unpacking and baby-proofing the place. My funniest realization is that Harper has more hanging clothes than I do this year! I only used 6 hangers!!! This is a big deal because it's a running joke about how much I usually overpack. We just didn't have room in the 4Runner this time, so I had to edit my wardrobe-for real this time! That said, I'm sure I will still have more than I will wear.

We got done early enough to hit the beach for about an hour. Anderson LOVED the water and definitely the sand! Harper doesn't quite know what is going on , but she enjoyed splashing her toes around in the water and wiggling them in the sand. She kept a close eye on Big A and got very excited watching him play.

We are looking forward to a fun trip & lots of crazy stories to tell! Wish us luck and look for more pictures to come!

A little air guitar in the new swim trunks before hitting the beach. Rock on Anderson!

Sleepy Girl

Harper was crashed out. I guess she wasn't as excited about eating Mexican as we were!

Sweet Potato Princess

This was the third time that I offered Harper sweet potatoes, and she took to them pretty well this time. It's still hilarious to watch her curious face & sometimes tiny gags as she learns what this food is! I tried really hard not to make a big mess, but it's nearly impossible to not get it all over her face. At least this time it wasn't in her nose!

This one is my favorite because she is looking at me like, "what Mommy?"

Baby Blue Eyes

Harper playing around this evening. If anyone is wondering about her cute outfit, please contact Central Dayschool, as this is what they put the babies whose parents forget to put a change of clothes in the diaper bag in...Harper please forgive us. You did have us up at 3am with a fever...we were a little off our game!

Happy Mother's Day!

What a lovely arts 'n' crafts project by Harper! We get a chuckle over this at our house because every time she is "artistic", an outfit is ruined at daycare! I've requested that they get her "nekkid" (as Robin's Chick's would say) if the aritistic mood strikes, but that's yet to happen & I've tried to utilize OxyClean Baby as much as possible. All that said, what lovely handprints Harper made for me! And the gift certificate for a spa day will certainly make it all better! Mommy can't wait! (And thank you Daddy:)

Material Girl

Harper decided to try out her pretty ring and bracelet. They finally fit! How pretty!
