Well, I am 30 weeks and 3 days! I am feeling pretty good other than the frequent pains in my side. Apparently lots of stuff has to stretch out when you are pregnant! Going to bed is no longer a reliable action that guarantees I will actually get sleep. Between feeling like I'm on fire and the aforementioned side pains, I have not been getting as much good sleep as I would like, but I hear that it gets better in like 18 years!

It is really not too bad. It has been pretty easy so far and I would go through anything to get our baby girl here!

I'm heading to North Carolina Wednesday for a work trip & will be back late Thursday night.  It will be my last trip this fall-and yes, it is okay with my doctor for me to fly! :)

I'll be in Muscle Shoals for the weekend & should have some baby shower pictures to post soon! Check out my 30 week picture to the right!

29 Weeks Update

Well, tomorrow I will be 29 weeks! I had a routine doctor's appointment yesterday & everything is progressing just great. I think I was most surprised to see that I had only gained 2 lbs. in the last month! Being pregnant rocks! The most exciting news is that we went ahead and scheduled the delivery. The day will be November 24th! It's crazy that we can actually count down the days now!

Ken and I are off to the beach in the morning for our little "Babymoon". I am looking forward to some tasty fish and R&R. I will need it because I'll head to Chicago Tuesday-Thursday on business, then up to North Carolina for another appointment October 1-2nd. Then it will just be count-down time! We are just getting even more excited and can't wait to see our baby girl! Hope all is well with you and yours!

A Fun Labor Day!

We had a wonderful gathering for Labor Day! Brian and Karen have just moved from Hawaii to Charleston and were able to come to Tuscaloosa and let us all visit with them! Karen's parents and sister's family were able to join us along with Natalie and Anderson (who were busy eating at the time of portraits). It's a rare occasion to get us all together, so we enjoyed it to the fullest! It was fun for everyone to see my baby belly too!

I passed!!!

I went in for the glucose screening this morning. First they test your "fasting level", then make you drink this gross sugary stuff and come back in 1 hr to test the glucose. I passed prick #1, but failed #2 an hr later...I was very nervous when I went back yet another hr later for #3. The #2 test was 182 and to pass #3 you have to be below 145-that's a long way to drop! Anyway, when "79" popped up, I have never been so excited! I mean, I've been eating pretty healthy, but I thought if I had to cut out Nutter Butters or Reese's I wouldn't make it!

So all is good and I am a happy camper. Ken and I just went to Ruby Tuesday's and had salad bar and shrimp pasta--and Nutter Butters for dessert at home! Now I'm off to work.  Hope you all have a great week:)

Guys in Stripes

Ken gets in a little "practice" with Anderson! We had a fun time stopping by for a visit with him and Natalie today. He's growing so fast and cute as a button, obviously!

Well, I failed my sugar test today. The number had to be below 135 and mine was 137-only 2 points! So I get to go back and do a 3 hour test next-joy! Other than that, things were good. Her little heartbeat was 150 bpm and no one said I was gaining too much weight! Ha! My next visit will be in 4 weeks, then after that I will start going every 2 weeks-getting down to the final stretch!  I'm feeling good and getting so excited! Ken and I love going "window shopping". We (me) are trying to use restraint and keep from buying everything in sight!

I'll be doing the 3 hour glucose test within the next week. Say a prayer that I pass with flying colors!
